We were so lucky to go to Arizona for Thanksgiving. We stayed with Dave and Candice. We had such a wonderful time. They were so hospitable and made our vacation so relaxed. The kids had such a wonderful time together.

CJ is getting big too fast. He is all boy and I love it. He is all about any kind of ball. He is always kicking and throwing anything that looks like a ball. He also loves hats he always puts his fireman hat on or his dad's baseball hats. He is such a joy to have around.

Sydney and I went to Disney on ice. We had a great girls night. It was fun to just be with my girl. We loved every minute of it. Except the Lion King part. Sydney was so scared of the monkeys she wouldn't even let me take a picture of them.

We went to Disneyland for Sydney's 3rd birthday. It was a surprise. Sydney didn't know where we were going. She thought we were in Las Vegas. It was so great to see her face when she figured out where we were. We all had the best day ever.

CJ turned one on the 14 of April. We were so lucky to have our family come from Logan to spend the day with us. The men went golfing in the morning and we all met at Thanksgiving Point after. We went to lunch and then to the farm. We had a really fun time. It was also a beautiful day thank heavens!

This Easter we were in Logan were it was nice and COLD!!!! We had a special visitor, the Easter bunny. The kids were scared of him...shocking I know. Sydney and Carter had a great egg hunt in Grandma's basement because of the snow outside. We all had a great time.

BABY AVA IS HERE!!! We are so excited to have another cousin. Sydney has been talking about her best friend baby Ava for a long time now, asking when she was going to come out of Aunt Carolyn's belly. We went to Las Vegas with Chase,Carolyn,Carter,Big Cam, and Haley. It was a wonderful trip. We had a nice week the begin of January to get away and enjoy family. We just relaxed, shopped and enjoyed all the excitement of Vegas. The kids were so good, Sydney still asks to go back to Las Vegas. We thank Chase and Carolyn for putting this trip together! we hope we can have many more!

Christmas morning is always such a magical moment. I have enjoyed it much more as a mother. Sydney didn't quite understand that Santa was going to come while she was sleeping and leave her presents. She just thought he was going to come get her when she was sleeping so she had no desire to go to sleep on Christmas eve. But we did get her down and in the morning when she woke up and saw all the presents that Santa had left, she got it!!! We had so much fun watching her open all her gifts. Well not all of them she got tired of opening presents so we left some for Christmas night when Grandpa came. I guess we over did it a little!!!

Christmas Eve we went to Cliff's Uncle and Aunts' house. We make homemade pizzas in Bob's real Pizza oven. We just relax eat and have fun with family. We love this tradition. When we left that night Sydney said to me "mom that was so fun." She has so much fun with all the cousins. They are so cute with her.

It has been a long time... we are all doing well. Sydney is 2 1/2 she loves everything girlie. Make-up, shoes, Disney princess, dancing, gymnastics, and singing. She has a very fun and sweet personality with a bit of spice too it. CJ is now almost 9 months old. He is a very good boy. He is very chill. He loves to be with people, play with toys and Sydney, and roll around on the floor. He is very close to crawling. He is such a joy. Cliff is still working and going to school full time. He is a very busy dad. I hope to get back on the blog train. Now that my computer is working I will do better.

I can't believe that my baby is already 2 months old. It was a very special day, CJ was blessed on his 2 month mark. We had lots of family and friends come and share this wonderful day with us. We thank all of them for coming. CJ did very well during the blessing...but as you can see from the pictures he had had it when we got home.

CJ is such a joy to have in our family. He loves the bath although when he gets cold he gets very upset. I love that he just wants to be cuddled and loved all day. He is such a sweet baby. He is already sleeping better than his big sister, so that is a major plus. I can't remember life without my kids. I am so blessed to have them and my awesome husband.

We went to Thanksgiving Point with our kids for date night a few weeks ago. It was a lot of fun to see all the baby animals. Sydney LOVED it and CJ didn't mind it at all. We enjoyed the nice spring weather and all the new life at the farm. It was a nice start to our summer fun!!!

Our baby boy is here!!! We are so happy to have CJ here. He is a sweet lovable baby. He is so good. He really only cries when he is getting his diaper changed and when he is really hungry. He is sleeping well and is putting up with lots of kisses from his big sister. Sydney adores he brother and has shown no jealousy so far. She is really good with CJ. I couldn't ask for a more perfect family. I am so blessed!

Favorite things, one of Sydney's favorite things is to play outside at the park. Every time we go outside she says whee. That means that she wants to play on the toys at the park. She could spend hours out on the toys. While Sydney is fearless Cliff and I aren't so much. We watch her like hawks. Making sure she doesn't fall or hit her head on anything. She just wants to be able to do her own thing. It makes me laugh. But in the end we all have a good time.

I am in BIG trouble!!! I got it from Candice and Jessica last night about not updating my blog. So I am going to try and do better. We are all good. I am just counting down the days until I have this baby. I was going to post some pictures then I realized my camera is in Sydney's room. She is sleeping right now( that is why I can be on the computer...) so I will have to post them next time. We are still alive and are all doing well. Happy New Year to you all. I have not been very good at blogging these past few months. But I will try to do better. We wish you all the best in 2009. We are still in Orem while Cliff is finishing school at BYU. Sydney and I are just having great fun together. Sydney is getting so big. She is a lot of fun to hang with. She is all girl and I love it. It will be very different to have a boy come into the mix. We can't wait for the Clifford Jr. to get here. I am more than ready to be done with pregnancy!!! All in all we are all doing well. Life is crazy but good.

Christmas Time

I can't believe that it is the week of Christmas. It is such a wonderful time of year. I am so thankful for this year and all the new and exciting changes that will be coming next year. Most of all we are so excited for our baby boy to come in April. Sydney is so good with babies I can't wait to see how she will be with her own brother. We are excited for Cliff to get more schooling done and much much more. I love my family so much and love being a wife and mother. There is nothing better. I can't believe how time flies. Sydney is now walking all over the place and is quite the little girl. She has the funniest personality and makes Cliff and I laugh all the time. We LOVE hanging out with our little girl. Things have been so crazy. We have moved to Orem. It is a fun and new adventure. We are enjoying more space and Sydney LOVES her own room.(Cliff and I enjoy it more.) Cliff is crazy busy with work and school. He is such a GREAT husband and father. Sydney and I really appreciate all that he does for us. I am still at home taking care of Sydney and the fort. I have loved being in Orem because I am close to one of my best friends and cousins Candice. We have been making crafts to sell at all the up coming boutiques. It has been so much fun. Her little girl Addie and Sydney are so funny together, they act just like sisters. But we all are having a lot of fun together.

We went fishing up American Fork Canyon last weekend. It was so beautiful, the fishing was not that great Cliff and Brian were the only ones who caught a fish. But we all had a great time enjoying the outdoors.

Family Reunion

We went to Cascade ID for the Johnson family reunion. We were able to spend time with family that we have not seen in a long time. It was the first time for a lot of my family to meet Cliff and Sydney. We had and enjoyable time relaxing, fishing,boating and eating. It was a huge trip for me, I caught my first fish and got my first minor concussion. It was GREAT!!!

Bank Robbery...in B-Town???

I tried to go to the bank this morning. To my surprise I found that every police car in Bountiful was surrounding the bank and it was shut down. So I suspected that it was a robbery. I called Cliff right away and told him the news. For some reason I thought that it was kinda funny that in good old Bountiful this was happening at MY bank. Weird huh... I talked to Cliff later and he told me it was the top story on KSL news. So I thought I would share it with you.
Now thinking about it I am glad that I didn't go earlier and that I am okay.

Suspected bank robber stabs himself following police chase

A bank robbery suspect stabbed himself in Bountiful this morning after a short police chase. That didn't stop officers from taking him into custody, though.
Police say around 9:30 this morning, the suspect robbed the Zions Bank at 500 N. Main Street in Bountiful. They say he showed the teller a note and demanded money.

Just minutes after the bank robbery, an officer spotted the car matching the suspect's description and tried to pull the car over. The suspect then pulled his car into the parking lot of J&L Garden Center and began stabbing himself.
The man stabbed himself multiple times in the stomach with a 6-inch blade. Officers broke the car window and used a Taser on him to subdue him.
The suspect went into full cardiac arrest, but rescuers were able to revive him. He was then flown to the hospital.

J&L Garden Center was shut down for an hour so the medical helicopter could land and take off.
"I heard sirens and that car pulled in with about four cop cars on his tail, and the cops were demanding to see his hands, and they had Tasers in their hands. And at that point, I realized that we were in the middle of something, so I was trying to get the customers back over there away from gunshot range," said witness Amery Jones.
Police have not released the man's name. All they will tell us is he is about 51 years old and he's from Idaho.

New Friends

Sydney and I went to McDonald's today with Heidi and Pyper. It was a fun play date. The girls were entertained with each other and all the other kids there. It was nice so Heidi and I could catch up. I think that this was the start of a good friendship.

What the PACIFIER...

When I get ready in the mornings I put Sydney on the floor just outside of the bathroom. She plays and talks to me as I get ready. The other morning she just started to laugh. So I looked down at her and she had her pacifier in her mouth the wrong way. She thought that it was way funny. She normal doesn't use this kind of pacifier so it was just a new toy for her really. She used that pacifier all day and even showed her dad her new trick when he got home.

After the wonderful parade we went back to the cabin and road the 4 wheelers. It was fun but quite scary for me with Sydney. But when we made it to the lake it was all worth it. It was so beautiful.

For the 4th of July we went to Oakley for the rodeo and fireworks. We stayed at Cliff's uncle Bob's cabin. We went to the rodeo on Thursday night. We all had a great time. Sydney was really good and we all loved it. I think that it might be a new family tradition. We were on the second row so we were really up close and personal with the animals.

The Zoo Adventure

Today we went to the zoo for the first time. We went with our good friends Krista and Max. It was a beautiful day the animals were out in full force for the most part. Sydney just enjoys being outside so she was happy. She really liked the giraffes. Max loved the monkeys. It was so cute he would point at them and smile, then make his animal sound. It was a fun outing. Next time we have to take dad.

Baby Girls

Sydney's new favorite toy is her baby doll. She absolutely loves her baby. We ask her to give the baby kisses and she always does. She gets so excited when we have the baby around. She takes such good care of the doll even at her age. It just proves to me that women are born to nurture and care for others. That we are meant to be mothers. I am so thankful to be a mom. It is the job that I have always wanted. I am blessed with a beautiful daughter that makes being a mom worth it.

Moving to Hawaii

Just a few weeks ago we had a dream, to move to Hawaii were Cliff could finish school at BYU Hawaii. We were already close to 2 months past the application date so we didn't think it would really happen, but we thought that we would give it a shot anyway. Low and behold Cliff got in to the fall semester. So we are now frantically trying to figure out how we are going to make moving to Hawaii work out. Although this summer is going to be crazy trying to get everything ready to go. I am very excited for this new adventure. I am thankful for an adventurous husband that is willing to try anything... almost. It makes our life very fun and memorable. Soon this will be my backyard!!! We can't wait.

Happy Easter! We had a wonderful Easter. On Saturday we went with Cliff's family to Thanksgiving Point's Easter brunch. It was so good. It is a buffet, so you have the joy of eating everything you want. Then we went to my dad's. We hung out with grandpa, Caden and Katie. Sunday was very nice. Sydney enjoyed her Easter basket as well as mom and dad. We all were spoiled by the Easter bunny. We were able to spend time with the Watsons too.

A few weeks ago we met Chase, Carolyn, and Carter at Red Robin in Layton. We stuffed ourselves with lots of good food. Then we went bowling. It was not the best bowling day for me...but I was using a 13 pound ball. But we had a lot of fun all together. We love our family! Sydney loves Carter as you can tell she is giving him big kisses. ( The onion rings are in the picture because as I was taking it the waitress put them on the table.)

I do. Cliff HATES to do the laundry. I really don't mind.

I do those too. But I wouldn't be mad if he helped me every once in awhile.

I do. So I am closer to Sydney.

What lawn.... It would be nice if we had a lawn to mow. One day...

Besides you, who is his best friend?

Well he has this group of boys that he has grown up with. They are more than friends they are his brothers. So all of those boys.

Who cooks dinner?

I do and I have a really hard time thinking what to fix every night. I enjoy cooking though.

Who drives?

Cliff does most of the time. Which I think that is what the husband is to do. But there are sometimes when I drive to Logan or something.

WOW... I am not sure. HA HA HA I am way too passive.

He kissed me. But I set the mood. I just wanted him to know that he wasn't going to get denied.

What was your first date?

We went to Cafe Rio picked up some food. Took it back to his Grandma's house and watched the NBA finals. Then my sister called and she wasn't feeling good so we went and picked her up and went back to my house and played phase 10. I won.

Who proposed?

Cliff did. We went golfing and he put the ring in the hole and when I went to get my ball out of the hole I saw the ring box. He got down and asked me. He had his friends in the bushed recording the whole thing. Very clever... Although we had some issues after that it was still cute.
Who has more siblings?

I do. I have 3 brothers and one sister. He has only one of each.

Who wears the pants?

I think that we have respect for each other and our feelings that we both decide on things together. We both let each other do a lot of things...

What is your favorite thing about him?

I don't know where to start. I love the whole man that he is. He always makes me laugh. He is tons of fun and is always wanting to have a good time. He is kind, sexy,thoughtful,wonderful father, hard worker, smart, talented,good communicator, the list goes on and on...
I love him very much. He is my favorite friend. I love being able to hang out with him whenever I want!

Uncle Phil

Uncle Phil has gone to Oklahoma City for 3 months. We will miss him while he is gone. We had a goodbye dinner with him and the gang at Iggy's. We wish him well and will cheer extra loud and hard for the Jazz while he is away.

Lemons and Limes

Our child loves lemons and limes! Cliff and I thought it would be fun to see what Sydney would do if we gave her a lemon. How mean of us right...wrong she loved it. She made no sour face or anything. Then I went to lunch with my mom and Carolyn, we gave her another lemon and we tried a lime too. She loved the lime. Let me tell you it was a sour one. I tried it and it made me shiver. So unlike her father Sydney loves sour things. It is so fun to see what she likes and doesn't like. She is growing up way too fast.

Happy Valentine's Day

Today is Valentine's Day the day of love. Sydney and I wanted to tell our wonderful father and husband how much we love him. He is the best dad in the whole wide world. He always comes home from work and plays with Sydney and makes her laugh. She loves him so much. She loves when he calls us to check in, Sydney can hear his vocie and it brings a huge smile to her face. We are so thankful for how hard he works for us. We have a good life and it is because of him. We love you very much thanks for everything you do!!! You are an amazing man. We are so lucky that you are ours! Love Amber and Sydney

Mardi Gras 2008

I wanted to have a little Mardi Gras celebration. I tried making tradintional Jumbolia, which really isn't the best. But we did have non-alcholic PinaColadas...Sydney enjoyed these as well. Along with some spicy appitizers. YES we did have beads.(Cliff said he wouldn't particpate unless there were beads.) We had the Watsons come down for pie later. I hope that next year my celebration will be a better success.

Laundry Day

Laundry day so the basket was out. I went to the store and came home to Sydney in the basket. Dad is so much fun and always trying new things with her. Sydney thought that it was fun. She loves to stick her hands in the holes on the side.

Rice Cereal

Sydney is now 5 months old. This means time for rice cereal. In the beginning she was not that interested in it at all. But this week she has grown to like it a lot better. She likes to help hold the bowl.

The Cutest Baby in the World!!! Sydney's new favorite thing is to be naked on the bed. She loves to roll around and talk. It is so cute.

We are so lucky to have a cousin just a few months younger than Sydney. Carter and Sydney are going to grow up to be great friends. Don't worry they are the same size. Sydney is still just so small.

Jon's Wedding and the Mustaches

Jon's married!!! Jon and Lynnett got married on Dec.29. Ryan, Phil, and Cliff thought it would be fun to grow mustaches for his wedding. They were the hit of the party!!! Lucky for me it was only for one day!!! The guys thought that they looked pretty good. You can all see and decide for yourselves.

Christmas 2007

What a wonderful time of year! This Christmas was the best I ever had. Not only was it Cliff and mine first Christmas together but it was even better to have our sweet baby girl. Even though she has no idea what Christmas is, she made it wonderful and fun. Cliff spoiled me like always. We are going to go to New York. I can't wait. Sydney was most spoiled. She got plenty for a 4 month old who doesn't care. But she does love her new saucer that Grandma Kelley gave her. I am so thankful for the time that we got to spend with all our family and friends. It was another great Christmas.

Magic Happens

Cougars Rock!!! We went to our good friends the Young's to watch the Las Vegas Bowl. It was quite the game. Cliff says that the cougars won because Sydney woke up to watch the last play. I think that they won because they were living right. We had a really good time with our friends and were very glad that the Cougars won the game. Sydney's onesie was made by her father. (Cute huh)

Sydney's Blessing

Sydney Rae was blessed by her father on Dec. 2 2007. It was such a wonderful day. Sydney was so good during the blessing. She didn't make a sound. We had a lot of friends and family there to make the day even more special. We love our sweet baby girl. She brings so much joy into our home. We are truly blessed.

We went to California for Cliff's 25th birthday. It was so much fun. We were able to go to the beach and Disneyland. It was a great getaway. Sydney was a champ. She was awesome on the plane rides. She slept the whole way.

We went to witches night at Gardner Village with Grandma Rampton and Uncle Greg. It was a fun night out!!! Sydney was a cute little cow for Halloween. We went to Great Grandma Bakker's for traditional sloppy joe's.

Bath Time

Sydney didn't like the bath much in the beginning. But she is learning that it is relaxing. She really loves to have her hair washed. That is her favorite part.

We're Back!

We are finally back home, and settled in Bountiful. We spent the summer in Seattle where Cliff was working and came back with Sydney Rae. We had a great time but it is great to be back home with family and friends. We are living at our friends, Trevor and Barbara Watsons' house in their basement apartment, and loving it!

Sydney Rae Rampton was born on August 15, 2007 at 5:50 pm at Swedish Hospital in downtown Seattle, WA. She weighed 6 lbs 4 oz, and was 19 inches long. We got to the hospital around 12:30 pm, so it happened pretty quick (for Cliff) and went perfectly.
